The following requirements apply to all boxes shipped to Amazon FBA fulfillment centers whether by small parcel delivery, less than truckload (LTL), or full truckload (FTL) shipping.

Box dimensions

Boxes containing multiple standard-size items must not exceed 50cm x 60cm x 50cm.

Box weight

• Boxes must not exceed the standard weight limit of 40 kg, unless they contain one single oversized item that exceeds 40 kg.
• Individual items weighing between 15 and 30 kg must be marked as Heavy Package (viewable from both the top and sides of each heavy-weight container).

Approved containers

The following are approved standard boxes:

• Regular slotted carton (RSC)
• B flute
• ECT-32 (edge crush test)
• 200BH (burst strength)

Do not:

• Use point-of-sale containers or pallet-sized boxes
• Bundle boxes together using bagging, taping, elastic, or extra straps

Approved dunnage

• Air pillows
• Full sheets of paper
• Polythene Rolls
• Newspaper
• Thermocol Sheets

List of unapproved forms of dunnage:

• Shredded paper
• Thermocol chips
• All types of packing peanuts, including those made of biodegradable material or cornstarch
• Crinkle wrap
